Your Allostatic Load Score: MODERATE
What Your Score Means:
Your responses indicate your allostatic load is moderate. This suggests that you’re generally managing daily stress, but it’s likely impacting your energy, focus and recovery.
Over time a moderate allostatic load can contribute to symptoms like:
Occasional fatigue and energy dipsRestless nights or disrupted sleep
Periods of feeling overwhelmed or stressed
Some difficulty concentrating or staying focussed
Mild signs of stress like tension or digestive issues
This level of allostatic load is manageable, but not ideal. With the right support, you can better adapt to the demands of life by improving stamina, enhancing cognition and boosting resilience.
It’s somewhat regular to experience this type of stress in modern life, but we don’t do regular at ZAAG. We push for more.
Your responses don’t ring alarm bells, but there’s work to do if you want to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life. Our suggestion would be to introduce (more) recovery practises into your routine. By doing this you tap into what’s scientifically understood as oscillation. Essentially it means you’re prioritising balance as well as exertion.
It goes without saying you should prioritise sleep; seven hours is the minimum for nearly everyone.
Next on the priority list is nutrition. You’re a grownup, you know what you should be eating. But a perfect diet’s not possible for most people. This is real life after all, eating all the colours of the rainbow in every meal is a nice idea but not realistic.
Without the proper fuel to perform the trillions of biological processes your body requires every day, you’re not going to thrive. Supplementation is a powerful wingman for anyone looking to squeeze more from themselves without radical change.
ZAAG does this better than any competitor. Our performance shots are created by world-leading specialists to generate results in days. Designed to specifically enhance your body’s ability to manage stress, in turn reducing your allostatic load, we consistently see double-digit improvements in wearable data within a fortnight.
Take Lottie for example: a mother and business owner in world-beating shape. In just six weeks she saw an incredible 68% improvement in her Heart Rate Variability (If you don’t know, Heart Rate Variability is one of the key metrics that identify a person’s ability to manage stress)
We’d love for you to experience the benefits of ZAAG too. So if you’re curious, you can get our Starter Pack (14 days of shots) for just £32 by using code DISCMEDIUM.
Beyond sleep and nutrition, consider introducing low-intensity movement (like yoga, stretching and hiking) into your routine. Active rest is a brilliant way to trigger your parasympathetic nervous system, the recovery control centre of the body. Breathwork, massage, heat/cold treatments and hydration will all serve to redress your stress balance, too, further reducing allostatic load.
